VCI Corrosion Protection
Making parts which are corrosion-free, dry, clean and ready-to-mount available to customers throughout the world at reasonable prices makes high demands on packaging and logistics.
EXCOR is a temporary corrosion protection system using the VCI method. VCI is understood to mean corrosion protection inhibitors that are volatile in air and can be working into diverse packaging materials, such as paper (ABRIGO), polyethylene, polypropylene (VALENO) or polyurethane (UNICO). The VCI sublimates out of the packaging carrier into the package space and protects the metal enclosed in it against corrosion and oxidation. VCI packaging materials take over the conservation as transport protection or storage protection as long as the metal is inside the VCI packaging material.
