Residues from extremely different processing steps which are not visually perceivable can hinder active corrosion protection or even act corrosively themselves. With trace analytical procedures we can assess such residues and prevent corrosion risks. The same is also possible causality determination in case of damage. These results can then help prevent repetitions. Any type of aqueous organic or pure organic fluid media which come into contact with the parts that are to be protected can be analytically examined for its effect on metal surfaces. The same applies for detecting solid deposits. This allows us to be able make conclusions as to their origin based on  the analysis.
