PERIGOL VCI 230 corrosion protection oil

PERIGOL VCI 230 is a solvent-free, hydrolysis-resistant, and in water non-emulsifiable corrosion protection agent for temporary corrosion protection, with corrosion inhibitors which act on contact and via the vapour phase. PERIGOL VCI 230 can therefore reach metal surfaces which can or should not be reached by the oil. The precondition for atmospheric
corrosion protection is an enclosed space in which the inhibitors can establish an adequate concentration. The corrosion protection includes all ferrous base metals, steel, iron castings, copper and aluminium alloys and fully or partially galvanized steels.

The application of PERIGOL VCI 230 can be performed by immersion, spraying or brushing onto dry, clean and corrosion-free surfaces. Immediately after application the parts to be protected have to be wrapped as air tightly as possible so that the VCI protective atmosphere can become established. For persistently effective corrosion protection the General Instructions for Use for all EXCOR VCI systems apply.

PERIGOL forms an oily, non-wipe-proof film on the parts, which can also be removed with aqueous alkaline media after storage of the parts.
VCI components, which are adsorbed from the vapour phase onto metal surfaces, disperse after opening of the packaging within one to two hours.

PERIGOL VCI 230 is primarily intended for corrosion protection during storage and transport and is completely compatible with ZERUST/EXCOR VCI systems in this context.
